Readiness when IFU is missing
What to do when the provider cannot produce instructions for use.
The instructions for use are a provider document, and the most common procurement finding is that they do not exist in any usable form. The demand pack exists for that moment: it turns "send us the documentation" into a specific, checkable ask.
Why it matters
Deployer duties under the Act are written against the instructions: use in accordance with them, oversee according to them, monitor what they describe. No instructions means no baseline, and no baseline means the duties are discharged against nothing.
What to ask for
The intended purpose in the Regulation's vocabulary rather than marketing language, the operating limits, the oversight measures the system assumes, and the logging it exposes. Ask in writing; a call is not a record.
When the answer is thin
Record what was asked, what arrived, and what is missing. The gap list is the artefact — it shows the duty was discharged as far as the supplier allowed, and it prices the risk of going live anyway.
How the tool frames it
It drafts the demand list from your deployment description and names the evidence gaps. It does not write the provider's document for them.
Decision-support drafting only — not legal advice. Confirm the duty set against the current consolidated text of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689.
